While waiting in line to meet Joe Gatto after his show at the Palace Theater in Albany, I found myself with two hours to admire the historic venue. Built in 1931, the theater’s ornate architecture and timeless charm made it impossible not to reach for my camera. As the line slowly moved, I took the opportunity to capture the intricate details and unique atmosphere of the space. Some of the photos, I think, really do justice to the beauty of the theater. Here’s a collection of my favorite shots from that night—moments in focus from one of Albany’s most iconic landmarks.
